Obituary
Today we celebrate the life of Geneva Peaches Keys-Johnson. Born on July 6, 1970, to Irvin Jr. and Virginia Keys.
Geneva received her education at Jesse H. Jones High School, where she graduated and went on to attend Lamar University in Beaumont Texas.
She accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of thirteen. In 2001, Geneva married Jamie Johnson, to this union two children were embraced, Zoe and Elijah. They were outstanding parents, who raised their family in a Christian environment. They instilled Christian values in their children’s lives by placing God first. Geneva was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin as well as a faithful friend to everyone. Geneva was a people person and enjoyed fellowshipping with family and friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by: her parents; Irvin Jr. and Virginia Keys, her grandparents; Moses and Bessie Thompson, and Irvin Sr. and Lorena Keys.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband of 15 years, Jamie Johnson; Daughter, Zoe; Son, Elijah; Mother-in-Law, Margaret B. Ervin; God Parents: Morris & Maudra Edison; Brother: James Keys (Kimberly); Nieces(3) & Nephews(4): Tanika Fontenot (Richard), Shonta Jackson, Brittany Alexander, Anthony Griffin (Samantha), Michael Keys (Tampa FL), Julius Keys, & Danny Braswell II; Brother-in-Law: Jerry Johnson; Great nieces and nephew: Ayanna Griffin, Janelle Moore, and Christopher Griffin; Sister-in-law(3): Sheila Keys-Taylor(Bill), Charlotte Hawkins, & Jeanette Johnson; Special Mother: Audrey McDowell and Special sister: Tourgee Dock; God Children(4): Brittany Thompson, Dedrick Dock Jr, Devin Shamlin, & Kelly Dalcour II.
